Saudi Arabia lifted ban on internet free calls.

Saudi Arabia government decided to lift the ban on voice calls on free calling apps such as Skype, Whatsapp, and other applications. This great decision reforms to make the Saudi Arabia more attractive for business.
The kingdom has previously banned internet calls, also known as Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) – restricting the opportunity of Nationals and residents to call with the other countries. The Saudi government banned in 2013, that of trying to “protect Saudi from any negative things that may harm the public interest”.

In the years since internet calls have become more popular in international commerce and Saudi said it was lifting the ban as a way of energizing the economy.

The ban already lifted and users are now able to make free calls with Skype, Whatsapp, Apples’s Facetime and other free calling apps.
