How to use Skype on XBOX ?

Skype is the leading communication app, and that can work on different platforms such as smartphones, tablets, desktop, Alexa, etc. Now you can use Skype on Xbox , the gaming console. Make video and audio calls on Skype for Xbox is very easy. You can bring your up to 25 friends and family members living room together on TV. You must launch Skype after turn on your Xbox console. Otherwise, you will miss the Skype notification.

The Xbox user no need to take Xbox Live Gold subscription to use Skype on Xbox One. However, you will need a Skype account. If you have a Skype account, you can access your Xbox One using the Microsoft account associated with that number. If you don’t have Skype account, dont worry , you just access your Xbox One with your Microsoft account  using for Xbox Live, and Skype will create an account for your use.

Skype works with the calm settings of Xbox One so you can control when friends and family contact you on Skype. You can also choose to run a Skype call in the background when you play games or use apps, and you won’t be interrupted because your video calls are automatically rendered as audio-only calls.
Snap mode is not supported with Skype for Xbox One.

How to make a Skype call  for Xbox One?

Go to My games and apps on Xbox.
Select the Skype app from the list and sign in.
Press the menu  button, then  select Contacts.
Select a contact from the list you would  like to call.
Press the X model button on your Xbox controller to start both audio and  video call.

If you have Kinect, Skype will default to video calls automatically. If you not  Kinect, dont worry can make audio calls with your headset.

If you’re having trouble making Skype calls, make sure Skype is allowed to use the microphone and camera on your Xbox One in Skype’s settings, where you can change your camera and microphone permissions
