They are sending messages on WhatsApp as pointed out. The hackers are sending WhatsApp messages and email messages to retrieve the user’s login information and OTP number.

Many users complain that they receive messages from unfamiliar numbers. Some of it is by asking for the OTP they received. Some even send it by mistake. It is too late for many to realize that this was to take over their Whatsapp account. Once the OTP is sent, he loses the WhatsApp account.

Hackers may then be able to steal users’ chats, phone number, name, email ID, bank account information and personal information, including Facebook login.

Don’t fall for SMS, Whatsapp Message or Email from unfamiliar numbers and email IDs. Those messages can be ignored or blocked. Make changes to the Privacy settings as well.

How to protect your WhatsApp account.

Activate two-step verification: This wonderful feature is available for both Android and iOS phone users for quite a while. To activate the two-step verification on WhatsApp first go to the Settings menu > Account > Two step-verification > tap on enable. WhatsApp asks to set up a secret PIN number.

After activating this feature users must provide this PIN number to logs into your WhatsApp account.

Block doubtful contact: If a message comes from an unknown or unsaved number, ignore it and block if the number is suspicious. You can block the contact just tap on the contact name > scroll down > tap on block option.

Change privacy setting: You must check your privacy setting and make sure that not enabled to everyone. You can change go to the Settings menu > tap on Privacy options > Change About to My Contacts > Change Groups to My Contacts, Change profile photo option to My contacts, Change Status to My Contacts. After the change, this setting WhatsApp only shows your details to saved numbers only.

Make sure to logout from devices you have recently logged in: If you login to gadgets other than your main phone guarantee to logout once work is done so nobody can get to your record without your authorization.

To do so, you first need to open your phone’s browser. Type ‘http://wa.me/‘ and enter the country code you want to send the message to. Ex: – If the phone number is +919988 *** 111, type http / wa.me / 919988 *** 111 in the address bar of your browser and enter.

Then a page will open with the WhatsApp logo. In it, you will see the green MESSAGE button. Clicking on it will be redirected directly to the WhatsApp application on your phone. Opens  chat window of that same number . Now you can send a message to a number that is not in the contact list.

WhatsApp a non-contact via Siri Shortcuts.

Download Siri Shortcuts application first, at that point open the application to tap the Gallery tab on the base right. Next, go to Settings > Shortcuts > empower Allow Untrusted Shortcuts.

Open this connection on your iPhone and snap the Get Shortcut catch to download it. This will divert you to the Shortcuts application. Tap Add Untrusted Shortcut.

If you want to use social meeting apps like Skype, Zoom, Webex, and Slack, make sure you use the right app. Cybercriminals lag behind such apps as they are gaining popularity during Lockdown.
Fake apps that are similar to the name of these apps are spreading massively online. Cybersecurity firm Kaspersky warns that many of them contain malware and adware.
Social meeting apps are an easy way for people affected by COVID-19 regulations to interact. Kaspersky experts have examined whether such applications are safe. Ensuing investigation discovered 1,300 documents with names like those of significant applications such as Zoom, WebEx and Slack. Of those 1,300 files, 200 have been identified as security threats, including the most popular adware, such as Deal Ply and Download Sponsor.
This kind of adware and malware can be found in apps that are downloaded from websites outside of the authorized app stores. Adwares are those that serve adverts and display various manipulations. Although adware is not malicious software, it still has a privacy risk.
Skype app is the most abused name of criminals. Kaspersky experts have been able to locate 120,000 suspicious files that use this app’s name. Skype is also the most widely used malware distributor apart from other app names.

The video conferencing app Zoom app users also facing security issues. Cybercriminals can leak information if they use the app safely. It is recommended that the software be updated and the passwords changed at each meeting. The government officials said the zoom app had problems with privacy and security. Zoom App’s servers are in China, like the Tick Talk App.
Businesses and government centers that maintain confidentiality are advised not to use zooms. Hackers reported cases of leaking passwords and hijacking video calls during the Zoom App. Google has restricted the utilization of zoom applications on worker ‘ computers.  Teachers in Singapore are also advised not to use the Zoom App. Apple also banned Germany and Taiwan.

WhatsApp new features introduce constantly to their users. WhatsApp is now ready for two very cool features. The latest version of WhatsApp 2.20.110 beta features many new features. Among them are Explorer Message and Multiple Device Support.

These two WhatsApp new features has been testing  for a long time. Both features are  in the final processes . That means they will be available soon. However, WhatsApp has not made any official announcement about these features.

The other WhatsApp new features is Expiring Message, which allows you to set time limits for each message. This means that the message is automatically deleted from the chat window of the sender and the chat window of the sender. WhatsApp was previously called Disappearing Messages.

The expiring message is different from the Delete for Every feature we are currently using. When using Delete for Everybody, the sender must delete the message. But the message will disappear after a predetermined timeout in the Expiring Message feature.

Also when deleting for every message in the chat window the message ‘This Message Has Been Deleted’ will be left. But such a message is not displayed when using the Expiring message. If the Expiring Message feature is activated, your profile picture will have a mark on it.

The next WhatsApp new features is ‘Multiple Device Support’. As the name suggests, this is a system where users can use the same account on multiple devices at the same time. This means that you can use the same account on the WhatsApp web on multiple devices. However, it can only be used if the phone has an internet connection.

WhatsApp communication app is owned by the Facebook company and more than 5 billion Android users downloaded from Google play store. Play store users rated 4.3 out 5 and this is a good rating. IPhone users are happier with WhatsApp because they rated 4.7 out of 5 on the Apple app store.
